Hi, I"m new here.

I was reading a book on Internet Archive when I scrolled down and saw that there were options for downloading it. I first chose to download it as a PDF but when I opened the PDF, which saved to my desktop, with Adobe Reader, my default PDF viewer, all the pages were blank. So I then tried to download as PDF with Text and the same thing happened.

Am I allowed to download the book but am doing something wrong, or am I not allowed to download the book? If it's the latter, why are there download options? If it's the former, any help to download it as a properly formatted PDF would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having this same issue that my Adobe reader can't read the downloaded file. However, having to always have signal makes it hard to read a book only online, also the text is too small on my phone. I don't want to read a whole book on my pc.
It's a pity we can't eg make a donation to get a proper PDF copy to keep.

I can only commiserate at this point. If I find out how to download a book, I'll let you know. Please let me know if you hear anything..

I don't know if you saw, but someone replied to the issue we are having; They stated:

it depends.
1. pre-1925 books are downloadable to keep
2. lending books can be downloaded to Adobe Digital Editions (or other DRTM apps) if they are 14-day loans (use the 3-dot link to open the tray to get the downloadable files). not all books offer 14-day loans.
3. books that are borrowable for 1-day loans are not downloadable
4. all books are downloadable for print disabled patrons.
